I finally got around to watching Anna Karenina(late to the party, I know), and I can't help but feel like this is the thousandth time I've seen Keira Knightley in a period film. According to her page on IMDb, in the past 10 years that she has had major movie roles, 9 of them have been in historical films. Her most notable roles happen to be in these same films (with a few exceptions). I decided to explore the subject via IMDb.
We start with Pirates of the Caribbean in 2003:
Followed by King Arthur in 2004 (and the infamous Photoshop breast implants):
Then there was Pride and Prejudice in 2005:
2007 saw double period action with Atonement:
The Duchess would not be left behind in 2008:
2008 was also a double feature with her role in The Edge of Love:
And finally, we have Anna Karenina in 2012:
So what do you think? Maybe Keira Knightley just really loves period costumes? Or perhaps she is on a mission to act in every historical period ever?
ETA: Attempting to fix stupid formatting errors... I promise the pics did not look like that in the draft :(
