Welcome To The Bitchery
Welcome To The Bitchery

I realized I didn’t give an update on what happened! I ended up losing the alternate coin toss, so didn’t make it on the show for the episodes taped Wednesday. That means that they will reschedule me for a later date, at which point I’ll definitely get on.

It was a lot of fun, though. They gave us lots of practice buzzing in, and even though we were all strangers we got along well and were rooting for each other (I was rooting for some people more than others). It was a really positive experience. The contestants get to sit in the audience until we get called, and the number of contestants obviously dwindles as the day goes on. I was a little lonely for the last episode, when I was all by myself. They wouldn’t even let me sit with parents and husband, because I had to be sequestered just in case something happened in the middle of the last episode and they ended up needing me.

In some ways I’m  a little glad I didn’t get on this time, because I got to see how the process worked and get the nerves out.  While I knew in theory how it was going to go, it was nice to experience it without the pressure.
