It is simply a gorgeous day here in Yonkers, NY, and Bralock and I decided to take a walk. We didn’t really have a destination in mind.

We have the Old Croton Trailway State Park by our apartment. It has the wonderful Aqueduct Trail that stretches something like 29 miles from the Croton Reservoir to just north of downtown Yonkers. We headed north on the trail. We decided to turn around when we hit Broadway in Dobbs Ferry. We stopped in Hastings-On-Hudson on the way back for some ice cream.

We were gone about two and a half hours. If we include the stoppage time of us staring at the pretty pretty houses, ice cream, and assorted other nonsense we averaged a mile in slightly better than twenty minutes. Not bad. I mean, it is an easy walk. There were barely any grades.

How have the rest of you been spending your Saturday?
