Kangoo jumps.

I will never laugh at this ridiculous workout ever again.


It looks like an easy and fun way to lose weight, right? Right?



Do you have any idea how heavy those boots are? Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep jumping on one leg while lifting the other and also moving your hands and stuff? Do you know how difficult it is to move that fast and maintain the rhythm with everyone else?? Do you???


A former classmate from college lives in the neighborhood and she is a huge, huge fan of kangoo jumps. She has some sort of gym membership at the nearby gym which includes invitations she can offer her friends for one-time classes. So she finally convinced me to go with her today to try out this class. I thought her ‘kangoo jumps’ class was silly and hilarious, but now I have a new found respect for this woman. Also apparently you can burn upwards of 1000 calories during an intense 40-45 min workout like the one in the video, at least that’s what my friend told me.

I think that once you actually get the hang of it, it’s actually a more entertaining way to work out. There’s also a lot of upbeat music and you jump around to the rhythm, so it’s not that bad. But also, it’s super super super super hard. I am a puddle of sweat right now.
