I’m thinking about buying tickets to the National Ballet of Canada performing A Winter’s Tale at the Kennedy Center for my birthday in January. I’ve never been, and have no idea what the sight lines are like (eta: in the Opera House). All of the front orchestra is already sold (which is fine since I don’t like being too close for ballet because you often can’t see their feet!). There are some seats left in the center of the second orchestra section further back, but there are also seats on the first tier (above the box tier which is completely sold). Any opinions on seating?

Also, what restaurants would you recommend in the area for pre-theater dining?

Thanks!
