Have you heard the This American Life episode called "Kid Logic"? It's one of my favorites. I love the ideas that kids come up with that totally make sense to them but are hilarious to adults. What are some fun and funny examples of kid logic in your life?
When I was very little, we lived next door to an elderly woman named Mildred. I loved Mildred—she was my favorite person. I also loved chicken—it was my favorite food. In my head, really good things were named Mildred. So, I started calling chicken "mildred." In my house, till age 7 or 8, we had fried mildred, mildred and dumplings, and mildred noodle soup for dinner.
Now, how about you? What conclusions did you or your own kids come to that are 100% logical to a kid's brain but make no sense anywhere else?
Oh, and if you're interested, here's a link to that TAL episode.
