Ben still wasn't eating much yesterday. When it came time for his second dose of antibiotics for the night, I ended up just giving him some tuna. I think this is going to be the hardest part. I don't think he likes the prescription food, because as soon as I put the tuna down he wolfed it in one sitting (not too fast, though, didn't want him to puke it all up!). I don't want to keep giving him tuna, and I don't wan to waste it just to give him the water in the can. Plus, EXPENSIVE!
Other then that, he's getting better with his medicine and my boyfriend and I have the procedure down to a science. The real test is going to be when I have to do it alone. He's continued to use the litter box and not squat any where else, and I have been monitoring the output, which still isn't much. There isn't any blood, and he's not straining or spending excessive time in the box anymore, but he's still not putting out normal amounts. He's also licking his genitals as soon as he gets out of the box, which wasn't something he did previous, so he's probably still in some pain or discomfort. I think I'm going to call the vet and see if this is something we should be worrying about, even though it's only day three of the antibiotics. I wish they would have just cathed him when we went in the first time.
Other then that, we've been spoiling him rotten and he's been very appreciative. He slept in the bed with us last night, which he doesn't normally do because those are his peak mischief hours. He got to go outside and sunbathe a little bit, which is always a special treat because he's indoor only. He rolled all over the driveway and had to get grass clippings brushed out of his hair when he came in. He also got some loving from our neighbor.
