Audiobook edition! Are you a book listener? What kinds of books/authors do you like to listen to? What are your favorite audiobooks? And which are the ones we should avoid?
I used to listen to tons of audiobooks when I had an hour commute each way—that was a great opportunity to listen in big chunks and I could finish most books pretty quickly that way.
Now, I have a 15 minute commute (praise Beyonce) which is awesome but makes it harder to listen to audiobooks as often. So, I tend to forget about them till summertime, when I can listen to them while I go for walks or garden or whatever. So, ‘round these here parts, it’s nigh on audiobook season!
One thing I have noticed is that I do much better listening to non-fiction than I do fiction. For some reason, I’m more likely to stay focused on the voice if it’s non-fiction. Anyone else have stuff like that?
And, of course, please remember to tell us:
- What book did you most recently finish?
- What are you reading now?
- What’s next on your “to read” list?
- Do you have/need any book recs?
