Hey, all—as you can tell by my beautifully crafted “song,” I’m avoiding yardwork by sitting at the computer. :D You ready to help me procrastinate by talking books?
As usual, please tell us:
- What book did you most recently finish?
- What are you reading now?
- What’s next on your “to read” list?
- Do you have/need any book recs?
Most recently, I finished reading The Other Typist, which I really, really enjoyed! It was a well-written thriller, set in 1920s New York. If anyone’s read it, I’d love to hear what you think! (Raptor, you read it, right?) I’m still trying to figure out what I think!
Currently, I’m reading a book called The River at Night which I’m not loving too much. We’ll see, though, maybe it turns around.
Homey and I are bookclubbing Americanah by Chimimanda Ngozi Adichie and he just finished it last night, so I’ll read that next, I reckon.
Since the last lit. talk, I read a book called This is the Water by Yannick Murphy which I love, love, loved. It read like a literary thriller epic poem, almost? The stylistic choices really worked for me and the story was compelling. Please read it and come back and tell me how genius you think it is. ;)
And I’m always looking for well-written scary books. If you have any, throw ‘em my way, please. :D
