Travel Lit. Edition!
Homey and I had a mini-vacation this week and it was wonderful! We saw St. Vincent in Madison and, if you haven’t seen her, you should. That woman rocks hard. The show was a blast and she was really energetic and into the crowd. If you’re interested, you can see pics of the show we saw here.
After that, we hit Chicago where we visited a couple museums (the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Field Museum, where we saw Sue—so cool!).
Anyway, I didn’t read as much this week as I usually do but I was definitely thinking about travel lit. while we were on the road.
So, GT—what’s your favorite travel lit.?
And, as usual:
What’s the last book you completed?
What are you reading now?
What’s next on your “to read” list?
My last book completed was The Girl on the Train for the GT book club (I can’t wait to talk about this one with y’all!).
My current book is The Book of Night Women by Marlon James—I’m really, really enjoying it so far. It’s a novel about women slaves in Jamaica. I’m excited to read it but I’m going a little slowly, simply because I’m trying to enjoy all the language.
My next book will be either What W.H. Auden Can Do For You by Alexander McCall Smith OR Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed. I want to read something short before I jump into the next GT Book Club selection.
Alright, y’all this got long—now it’s your turn!
