Lazy Sunday Lit. Talk: Cookbook Edition!

I’ve been watching Cupcake Wars and The Great British Bake Off all week and I’m in the mood to cook and bake! Come share your favorite cookbooks with us and/or share what you’ve been reading, look for recommendations, etc., etc. Let’s talk books!

Regulars here, you know the drill:

What was the last book you finished?

What are you currently reading?

What’s up next on your “to read” list?

Cookbook edition bonus: Share or request cookbook recommendations!

Last books I finished were Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy and Tiny, Beautiful Things (so good! I cried a few times); currently, I’m in Tana French’s The Secret Place (I love Tana French and I hope she lives forever and learns to write faster :), and next up will be Olive Kitteridge.

As for cookbooks, I love the Budget Bytes cookbook and Carole Raymond’s Student’s Vegetarian Cookbook, which is great for cooking vegetarian for one or two people. I know, I know, I can find every recipe ever, ever online but there’s something so enjoyable about paging through a cookbook, looking at the pictures, skimming the index. I still love them and buy them! How about you? What’s on your literary plate this week? And what’s your favorite cookbook?
