Lazy Sunday Lit Talk: Mother's Day Edition

Hey, All, you ready to talk books?

With Mother’s Day fast approaching, I thought it’d be fun to talk about books that feature mom-characters you love, or hate, or love to hate. So, what’s the best book about motherhood, or the mother-child relationship, you’ve read?

I know, I know, this is the film poster but it’s an awesome film poster for one of my favorite books about mothers. It counts, right?

This one’s a little hard for me but the first one that comes to mind is Barbara Kingsolver’s The Poisonwood Bible. If you haven’t read it, you absolutely should!

Also, shout out to Rosemary’s Baby which makes me, oh, so glad I don’t want/have kids... ;) But I bet you guys can think of better examples. Whatcha got?

And, as always, please tell us:

  • What book did you most recently finish?
  • What are you reading now?
  • What’s next on your “to read” list?
  • Do you have/need any book recs?
