Nick Caraway in F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby opines that "Everyone suspects himself of at least one of the cardinal virtues". I would heartily concur with this, and add that everyone also suspects themselves of at least one of the seven deadly sins. What are yours?
To save you from Googling, here are the lists. Actually there's two heavenly virtue lists apparently And Nick's virtue of honesty isn't on either of them. Go figure. But anyway. What's your major sin and your major virtue?
Seven deadly sins: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride.
Seven heavenly virtues (v.1, these are the ones I was taught at school but whatever): Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness, Humility
Seven heavenly virtues (v.2, an alternate list comprising the four cardinal virtues and three theological virtues:) Prudence, Justice, Temperance, Courage, Faith, Hope, Charity.
My sin is envy (seriously, I am the most envious person I've ever met) and my virtue is kindness (I envy people like whoa but rarely ever does it negatively impact on how I treat them).
