Do any GT-ers do it on the regular?
Personally, I think that it’s something that is incredibly overrated, and I don’t understand why people make an effort to do it in order to be able to claim a new level of consciousness.
It’s something I’ve done since I was a child. I wasn’t aware controlling dreams wasn’t normal until much later. I now believe it’s an extension of my control freak nature on a level that I can’t try to relax. It’s one of the two levels of control that I know I will never be able to let go of, no matter my effort (the other is cruise control. I just can’t let go of control of my car.) And it’s helpful when I have nightmares. I can wake myself up or redirect the dream into a less terrifying direction.
But it’s not restful sleep. Not at all. Why do people want to try to achieve non-restful sleep? It defeats the purpose. I love the nights where I don’t dream, or at least don’t remember it, which means I wasn’t trying to control it.
I would love other people’s opinions.
