I'm planning on writing a longer piece about colorism, but right now can I say I'm shocked and appalled at all of it going on in these parts? Yes, lightskinned privilege and passing privileges exist and are a problem. Yes, darker skinned Black folk, Latin@s, AAPI folk, and NAs have worse representation. But that does not mean we get to kick out and hate-on light skinned individuals. For heaven's sake someone on the Beyonce thread said they aren't real PoC!
Does anybody have examples of colorism or thoughts they'd like to share on it? I'd love to brainstorm and possibly quote you (with your permission, of course).
