Has anyone here had any experience with liquid diets. I am wanting to try one for health reasons. Basically, post-hysterectomy and chemo, I've developed scar tissue around my bowels. I've noticed that if I eat a lot of solid food (i.e., two regular portioned meals), I get severe constipation, stomach aches, pelvic pain, etc.
I'd like to try a liquid diet to see if that helps at all. I have an Ensure protein drink for breakfast, a normal lunch, and a V8 and/or yogurt for dinner. Is there a better substitute than v8? Any supplements I should be taking?
I'm uninsured right now and broke. Can't afford medical treatment (surgery) for the adhesions, so this is sort of a last resort.
