So my job includes having to answer a lot of emails. I am the person that is at the end of the "contact us" form for a certain segment of the company I work for. This responsibility was given to me when the person originally doing it didn't want to do it anymore, I guess? Never mind the fact that his job title implies dealing with these people.
Anyways! Not the point! The point is, people write their (mostly) dumb questions and I respond with my answers. Occasionally, I get an automated response from that person's email along the lines of:
I apologize for this automatic reply to your email.
To control spam, I now allow incoming messages only from senders I have approved beforehand.
If you would like to be added to my list of approved senders, please fill out the short request form (see link below). Once I approve you, I will receive your original message in my inbox. You do not need to resend your message. I apologize for this one-time inconvenience.
You're emailing me with questions and I have to get approved to get my response to you?! I DON'T THINK SO! I seriously doubt sir, that you are that important.
Today is now "Totes didn't fill out the form Thursday!"
