5:00pm UPDATE: Bad Movie Monday is canceled until tomorrow (so it will be Bad Movie Tuesday). Unfortunately, real life just came storming in with a vengeance. See you in 24 hours!

As you were warned this morning, we will be screening 100º Below Zero at 5:30pm Pacific / 8:30pm Eastern. Open thread and live tweet begins at 5P/8E!

Twitter tags: #GTBMM, #100BZ, add @womanoffiction to follow along!

If you have no bloody clue what’s going on, check out previous weeks here and here. More info (like the epically bad trailer) is on the post from this morning.

ALSO - and I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH! If you have suggestions of movies that you would like to see skewered in this series, please, please, please, with cherries and unicorn butterfly kittens on top PLEASE EMAIL ME: literarycatstakenoshit@gmail.com. I don’t think I would have found Jane’s excellent suggestion post from 4/30, had I not already been searching the tag for past weeks. I mean, fucking Howard the Duck?! HOW DID I NOT THINK OF THAT? HELP ME, FAIR DENIZENS OF GT!

As always, fun facts, weird tidbits, and hilarity as I see fit is coming. We will start the official countdown to movie time at 5P/8E!

Pre-Commentary & Observations:

* Earned a whopping 2.4 out of 10 on IMDB’s rating system and is 6% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. This honestly just makes me want to watch the movie more.

* Starring JOHN RHYS-DAVIES, who, DUH, is so much better known as Gimli, Salla, Viscount Mabrey (oh yeah, like I’m going to miss an opportunity to plug Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement), and Professor Maximillian Arturo on Sliders starring my high school crush, Jerry O’Connell.

Shut up, you know you all loved him too in the mid 90s.

* The main male lead, JEFF FAHEY is someone I sure you’ll recognize if you were big into Lost (he was Frank Lapidus), caught his recurring roles on Under The Dome (Sheriff Howard ‘Duke’ Perkins) or Justified (Zachariah), or were an outsized, ginormous fan of Hatfields & McCoys (Devil Anse Hatfield).

* SARA MALAKUL LANE, a model since her teens, I feel pretty comfortable referring to as something of a scream queen, and has a series of these types of horror/action movies to her name, including Sharktopus (oh yeah, THAT is going on the list) and the upcoming Scouts Vs. Zombies (10/30/2015).

* It’s worth noting that the director, RD BRAUNSTEIN also has a movie coming out this year: I Spit on Your Grave: Vengeance is Mine. I presume this means very chunky loogies are involved. That is some spiteful grave spitting.
