Welcome To The Bitchery

Regardless of what my diagnosis turns out to be next month, this is going to be a good year*.

I have booked all sorts of travel, concerts, sports events, and shows because - why not? Before I would be like, “Oh, yeah that looks like a great concert! Wait, a Tuesday? Nah.” Now, fuck it. Tuesday, or whenever, let’s do it! These are things I love, things that make me happy, so I am going to do it.

What ways, big or small, do you take care of yourself mentally/emotionally when times are rough?


*As a former educator, January 1 is NOT the New Year. New Year begins when school starts. Summer is the nebulous “in between” neither the old or new year. It’s its own special time. (Except now that I work a regular 12 month schedule, it’s not so special.)
