Ok, so I've been sending off a bunch of emails to craigslist adds so I can hopefully move into my own place, or into a place with new and (hopefully) better roommates. I'm not looking for good friends in roommates, just someone who isn't a damn slob.
Anyway, there are quite a few adds that I'm having trouble ignoring because the price and location is so good. However, these adds specify female applicants only. I'm assuming that is for one of two reasons. 1. The tenant who is already living there wouldn't be comfortable living with a random guy, or 2. they want someone who is clean, quiet, and respectful. I'm the latter, and the three best places (by far) I've found have all specified female only and dying here. Does anybody think there's a way I could reply to those adds and broach that subject respectfully with the possibility of them considering me anyway?
Any advice? Would it hurt to at least give it a shot? Or should I leave it? If I do, is there anything I could or should say?
