This morning, having procrastinated in picking a dessert, I ran to the store and grabbed a Gluten Free Chocolate Cake Mix. The instructions called for 1 cup water and 3 eggs to be added. I added the 3 eggs with 1/2 cup Bailey's Hazelnut flavored Liquer and 1/2 cup Nutella. I used a mini bundt cake pan. They stuck and I couldn't get them out. I left them there for the ride. I then made buttercream icing. I used 1 stick butter, 3 cups powder sugar, and then a dollop of nutella and more Baileys. It was awesome.
We ate fajitas and chocolate cake. We hung out with my aunt and uncle, my cousin who is about to graduate college, and my 89 year old grandfather. After presents I let my son play with my phone. He lasted until about 3pm with no technology. That's pretty good.
We rode with my parents, so I got to nap on the way back. It was a pretty good day. If only I had more time to take off this week. I'm now washing my work clothes and about to tuck into a piece of cake.
Edited to add that my Grandpa said he was really glad I went back to my pretty red hair. I pointed out that, while my natural color is in the red family, I had dyed it much brighter. He said that was okay, he thought the color was really pretty.
