This wins my internet for today in so many ways.
A few years ago, French photographer Sacha Goldberger found his 91-year-old Hungarian grandmother Frederika feeling lonely and depressed. To cheer her up, he suggested that they shoot a series of outrageous photographs in unusual costumes, poses, and locations. Grandma reluctantly agreed, but once they got rolling, she couldn't stop smiling.
It also turns out that Mamika helped hide and save Jewish people during the war and is generally a pretty beloved lady who is getting a new lease on life with all the love and feedback she's getting from people writing her about the photos. And I think her grandson is just the dearest for doing all of this.
Now if only she could do something about all of these onion cutting ninjas who have crept into my office...
P.S. I think this is my favorite photo
