I got Magic Knight Rayearth Omnibus this weekend at a yard sale. So counterintuitive. I often have to reread panels since I lose the sequence. I know pages go backwards and panels should be read like a backward Z. Also dialogue in a panel goes right to left. I know this yet it seems counterintuitive. Is scanning things with our eyes left to right natural or taught? I know Japan literature and manga goes right to left. Not sure why it goes this way. It would lend credence that reading or scanning, the direction is taught either subconsciously or consciously that it is not natural but taught.
