I know most people here aren't in the UK, but for those who are or those who have ways and means of watching BBC, Oh Do Shut Up Dear! Mary Beard on the Public Voice of Women is worth a look.

In it, Mary Beard - classicist and feminist - discusses women's oratory, and the attempts to curtail it, throughout history and in the modern age. I found it really interesting and the BBC has managed to hide it - like a lot of their best stuff - so I thought I'd post it here for anyone who might wish to see it.
