So, I saw my GP today about my migraine...

I talked to him and expressed my concerns that this migraine attack is the longest, most painful one yet and I'm having worsening symptoms (particularly the eye twitch that happens when my migraines are at their worse).

Good news: The new medication he put me on has a high rate of success and helping to stop migraines or at least make the pain manageable.

Bad news: Every migraine, apparently, makes the pain nerves even more sensitive, such that subsequent migraine attacks will often get more painful, last longer, and result in worse auras or other issues. The increase in nausea / gastrointestinal distress is also expected.

At this point, I basically have to be sure to take my migraine medication as soon as possible to the onset of the migraine to try and cut it off at the pass and not let it get a foothold. I now have 30 tablets of my medications (and three authorized refills) to hopefully have some on hand at any given time. Here's hoping I don't have another one for a while...
