Why is it that whenever I post something sticking up for, say, Asian-Americans I get people assuming I dislike/know nothing of, say, Black people. This happened in my Miley Cyrus post too- someone came up accusing me of not caring about Latinas and I was like sit down, you ass. I'm Latina too! It's more than just erasing mixed race people. It's assuming that one has to be a representative of race A (and only A) in order to talk about the well documented problems facing A? There's a difference between speaking for/over marginalized peoples and amplifying their words. I wish more people would recognize that.
