So this is a cool thing — links to an ESPN quiz that tests your knowledge of somewhat-obscure baseball rules.
Anyway, taking the quiz made me really understand why DudeJeans is so resistant to watching baseball with me (although he's usually happy to go to a park for the cultural experience). If you don't grow up knowing terms like "pop fly," "sacrifice," and "force out," I can see where it can seem like a whole other overcomplicated language. I think football is a lot easier to understand — baseball looks simple, but there are infinite levels of minutae.
