CBC Radio's As It Happens aired a nearly 13-minute interview this evening with another woman who very briefly dated Jian Ghomeshi about 10 years ago and, sadly, her claims are very similar to the other accounts of physical violence that surfaced on Sunday. At the woman's request, the CBC agreed not to use her name: they did, however, verify that she stayed with a friend later that evening back in 2004, because she was (understandably) too afraid to be alone. (The friend, who happens to be a nurse, confirmed the events of that night, as they'd been related to her).

I do believe the other four women who have come forward but I've got to say, there is something about hearing a human voice telling her story that creates an even bigger impact, something I thought wasn't possible after reading the Toronto Star's investigative report.

P.S. Evidently, this woman is one of two who've approached CBC Radio regarding Jian Ghomeshi: the other intervew will be airing on The Current tomorrow morning, sometime between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. (EDT).
