So, Boo has to take a pill every day. And it’s chicken flavored and he likes it, so we act as though it’s a treat: “Time for pill! Who wants their pill?” and he’ll sit and shake for it.
But it also means we have to spell out “pill” when we’re talking about it and not about to give him one. And we say it “P-I-Double L.” And, after three years, guess who finally figured out that we say “P-I-Double L” right before he gets his pill! (Usually, “has Boo had his P-I-Double L?” or “Does he still need his P-I-Double L?”) So, now, when we talk about it, we’ve started saying “medication,” which is so much longer and I already miss the days before my cat could spell. 😂
