My mother went to see Manchester By The Sea. As we got back into the car she kept repeating one word “awful”. She thought Girl On The Train was bad this was worse. She described it as watching a person going from a depressive state to yelling to fighting and back to depressive state. This was the Affleck character. She said she nearly walked out but did nit really want to see the Star Wars movie.
Now for Rogue One.
Remember this character from Kids In The Hall.
As I was leaving the movie this is who I thought wrote the movie. This movie had so much potential as a launching pad for characters that were behind the scenes helping Luke, Leia etc. I loved the Jedi Priest and his assistant. Jyn and Cassian could have been the new Leia and Han. The android annoyed me. Was he voiced by actor who played C3PO?
The first half had an intriguing character and idea. A more radical rebellion force. Nope killed off. So really who cares. Why did you intrigue me just to throw it out. Also wasting Forrest Whitaker. Ugh unforgivable.
Except for the android this was the most serious of Star Wars films. The priest was fun amd his sidekick. Ugh waste of interesting characters.
Mon Mothma (sp) did they insert part of Star Wars IV in one part? I hope she is developed a bit more. Why is she the head of the rebellion?
I wish Admiral Tarkin was the main villian. This villian he came across as a bureaucrat gone bad.
So stormtroopers come in all different colors? The standard white, brown and black.
The ending made no sense. The Deathstar did it miss the complex that Jyn and Cassian ran out of? It would have been a better ending for them then the sappy handholding waiting for the mushroom cloud to hit them. Also did anyone think of these two when they ran out?
I wish the movie kept the priest, his sidekick, Jyn and Cassian alive. These four had so much potential as behind the scenes characters.
Well we now know why the Deathstar had a flaw, why Rogue Squadron is called Rogue Squadron and why Luke is the new Hope.
Of all Star Wars movies this is the one I least want to see again. The writer was a bit too “crush your head” happy. I was still a goood movie.
The second photo is of Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid. I dislike westerns but my god this was sooooo fun to watch. My favorite western and Redford film..If you never saw it, see it now.
