I’ve put one Alfonso Cuaron’s A Little Princess as background noise to unpack to. It came out my senior year in college, so i was a little old to be watching it. But dammit! It’s beautifully shot and a total fairytale. Many years later i see all sorts of problems with it starting with i think a lot of white people imagine themselves as Sarah. But don’t see how she’s a part of colonialism. But gosh darnit i want to wake up to hot food, a monkey and pretty silks around me!
What movies do you like despite their problems. No judgment here. After all i like a kid’s movie!
