This is messing with my SO really badly. He is the child of a war refugee-turned-citizen. Funny how it’s always someone: Back when his mother arrived in the US, the panic was that the Vietnamese refugees would take jobs away from Americans.
ETA: Can’t find any sign of people protesting these centers and the separation policy in my area. I am going to reach out to some faith leaders I know whose ministry is tied up with social justice. I also have some contacts in the local Socialist group. Who else should I contact to get a protest going?
