My day job is credentialing and contracting at a hospital. II've been credentialing a doctor to pick up weekend shifts and found out he is not a provider for any private insurance companies. So yesterday he begs me to credential him to be a provider at all of the "good insurance companies." I talked it over with my HR Director, my CEO, my husband and they all said to go for it.

So I quoted him a price three dollars more than what I make it the hospital and he didn't even question it. I should have asked for more money, damnit. I may have stumbled into a decent side job, or I may have just signed up for torture. We shall see.

I really need to figure out how to market these skills. And swear this guy to secrecy so I can up the price next time.
