A tunnel, 2 1/2 metres underground, tall enough for an adult to stand in, and 7 metres long has been found in the woods near York University in Toronto. The tunnel is within site of the Rexall Centre, a facility that will be in use during the Pan Am Games this summer.
Inside the tunnel, the police found a generator and tools and that the walls of the tunnel have been reinforced. It would also seem that the soil that came out of the tunnel was taken off site to avoid detection. Police further say that they do not believe the tunnel was intended as a meth lab or a grow op, because the amount of work that went into the site would make it rather unpractical for those purposes.
