Well the Grizzlies beat the Thunder tonight and went up 2-1 in the first round playoff series.
But it's ok.....i'm a man....i'll be ok....FUCK...
Alright i'm good. We just gotta split the series so we win Saturday and it's all good.
Meanwhile Atlanta beat Indy to go up 2-1. After this and the Pacers slide downhill these last few weeks i imagine this was the scene in Larry Birds office.
.....yes Larry Bird is a purple haired princess from another dimension. I grew up in Maine and i've seen enough Celtics games to know what he looks like.
I could talk about the Clippers v Warriors game but really all i have to say about that series is...
I just don't see either team being a challenge for OKC if they survive the gauntlet of Z-Bo and Gasol down low with "Trick or Treat" Tony and Mike Connelly knocking down J's. And if Memphis wins, well then we have a series. Still would have to take Memphis. Anyway, gotta go Warriors since i can't stand Blake Griffin's flopping
Tomorrow we have the Wizards vs the Bulls Game 3 in Chicago. So far the Wizards have taken it to Chicago and done what few thought they could, take two in United Center. With their young tandem of Wall and Beal at shooting guard with veteran leadership from Trevor Ariza and Nene, brought in from Denver, this is a team that is on the rise. It was going to be a challenge for the Bulls without Derrick Rose and with Luol Deng traded for basically nothing. Chicago has struggled on offense. But Washington had a gameplan. They told the Bulls....
It was a simple but effective strategy.
We also have the Toronto Raptors at the Brooklyn Nets. A very interesting series so far. Toronto is a team that was overlooked for much of the regular season and Brooklyn brought in veterans like Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett from the Celtics to help them get over the top and get Russian Midget Mark Cuban ( copyright Bill Simmons) a title. Here is an expert on the Raptors with his thoughts on how the front office put the team together
.....ok he's not really a basketball guy but he was the only one who would come on such short notice and work for cheap...and by cheap i mean free.
Finally we have Houston Rockets vs the Portland Trailblazers. Dwight Howard has been playing like this...
and yet Portland is up 2-0. Not sure what that's all about but i'm sure Houston has the maturity and veteran leadership to get it together and win 2 games in Portland...
sorry i couldn't finish that with a straight face. Well that's all i got for this NBA update. This is DyloniusFunk and remember, when the time comes, take the shot.
I have been told i forgot the Spurs v Mavs game. I was only looking at tomorrow's game and they play saturday. I apologize and to make up for it i went to the source, coach Greg Popovich himself and asked what his team had to do to get back on top of this series. Here is a snipit of the interview
...yeah not a talker that one. But seriously, Spurs win. They got embarrased at home on Wednesday. They're gonna do what they do and go out there and win.
