The other day, my cat snagged a claw in one of my favorite cardigans, and now there's a pretty obvious hole in it. I can usually wing my way through a lot of sewing and mending, but I'm kind of clueless in this case. As you can see in the pic, the sweater is (machine) knitted and the knit itself is pretty tiny. Is there any way I can patch up the hole? I wear this cardi to work pretty often, and I'm starting to feel pretty self-conscious about the hole. I checked the tag, and the sweater is 100% cotton, in case that makes a difference. TIA.
