Holy dwarf planet, my fellow nerds!

It’s taken nine and a half years and traveled nearly 3 billions miles so far, but in less than a week, the New Horizons probe will do a fly-by of Pluto, providing us with surface and atmospheric characterizations and, quite possibly, confirmation of an ocean of liquid water below the frozen nitrogen surface.

Next stop: the Kuipur Belt!
