So I live by a Very Large Mall with a big Nordstrom. The mall itself is decked out in Christmas decor, as are many stores. The Nordstrom, however, has signs outside of its doors explaining that they haven't decorated for the holidays yet because they believe in celebrating each holiday one at a time (I'm so happy SOMEONE is thinking about Thanksgiving!). They also mention that they will be closed on Thanksgiving and will open on Black Friday.

This isn't new for them, from what I've learned from my little Google research, and has been going on for a few years. But I missed these signs over my 4 years at university since Thanksgiving break was the first time I would be home again since summer. So I totally appreciate this small sentiment, especially after Walmart's announcement of opening stores at 8 pm on Thanksgiving.
