So, earlier this week I ended up in the ER for 17 hours. This isn't a health post so I won't go into details (I'm fine now). I wanted to make this post because of how awesome all of the nurses in the ER were. The nurse who put my IV in was understanding about my IV fears. Lots of other nurses apologized for the fact that I was in the ER for about 8 hours longer than necessary, even though that was the fault of the doctors and not the nurses.
I've spent a lot of time in hospitals and ERs, and while I've had mixed experiences with doctors, my interactions with nurses have been overwhelmingly positive. I cannot think of a single bad experience involving nurses. I don't know if there are any nurses here on GT, but if there are: you are awesome, and you should get paid more.
