So it looks like House Republicans have added a "conscience clause" to the budget bill up for a vote this evening. It would allow employers/insurers to opt out of the preventative care for women (read: birth control) required by the Affordable Care Act for "religious" or "moral" reasons. BECAUSE THAT WORKED SOOOOOOO WELL ALL THE OTHER TIMES THEY TRIED IT. EVERYONE TOTALLY WENT FOR IT... oh wait. No. No they didn't.

They're also demanding a one-year delay of all Obamacare provisions that aren't already in effect and a repeal of the tax that helps finance everything. Government shutdown looks... increasingly likely.

CAN WE PLEASE BE DONE WITH THIS TOMFOOLERY?!?

Update: Yep. They passed it, all right.
