So much of raising a child feels like trying your hardest and looking for little “yes!” moments that make you feel like maybe you’re getting some of this right.

Last night at bedtime KidK randomly said “tonight I hope I dream about meeting Frida (Kahlo.) That would be cool.”

The 4-year old appropriate story about Kahol is in her bookshelf, but it wasn’t something we’d been reading that day.

I have to admit, hearing her say she’d like to dream about meeting a talented woman of color made me feel like maybe we’re getting a few things right along the way. <3
