As an update to Lethekk’s post from yesterday:

Thorp’s petition, entitled Make it illegal for a company to require women to wear high heels at work, was posted on Tuesday night and by Thursday afternoon had passed the 100,000 signatures needed to trigger a response by the government.

The agency (Portico) that she worked for has apparently also changed it’s guidelines to allow for formal flats. PWC apparently never required heels, though no word so far on what happened to the employee who decided to enforce a non-existent dresscode.
