I already do yoga nearly every day and I would like to eventually take adult ballet (ultra adult - I’m almost a senior citizen). I’ve never done pilates - is it a good preparation for dance? I really want to protect my joints but I also want to strengthen. What should I look for in a pilates studio or instructor? I really want someone who knows what they are doing and thinks in terms of injury prevention. I’m in NYC if people have specific recommendations. Thanks all!
