Pizza Peel Advice

After having amazing pizza this weekend, I've decided I really need a pizza peel to make my pizza making better. The peel would allow me to heat the oven and stone to inferno temps and hopefully pizza perfection (!). But, when looking at stones, there are too many options! Will a cheap $12 bamboo peel work as well as the $75 one with the conveyor belt style "transfer cloth"? Should I go metal instead of wood (less pretty, but theoretically makes removing cooked pizza easier)? I just can't decide on my own. Any advice? Chritter?
