The best part about Christmas alone, besides PJs and not having to make small talk with distant relatives? Making stuff you actually want to eat!

For my main course-ok, only course-I'm having oven fried chicken, with a side of sautéed vegetables. Of course, I need a carb! Like these yummy rolls.

And then, desert!

Chocolate mousse.

I think what I'm going to do is halve the roll recipe and make a sandwich Christmas day, using a leftover chicken breast. Maybe tenders on Christmas eve. And chocolate mousse all day every day.


And today I made pasta with my first attempt at béchamel, or at least a really basic version. Still good.
