Update: more than 24 hours later - still no answers to my questions.

Scene: Boss emails me a “to do” list. Three items on the list are similar to this -

Set up a trip for the spring. Call Bob @ 555-555-5555 to organize it.

I email asking for clarification -

1. for how many people?

2. do you have a preferred month?

3. how long do you want to be gone?

4. from what account will this be paid?

Instead of answering the email, she comes to me with a “tone” asking “What clarification do you need?” I look at her, open the sent email which she then reads over my shoulder. She huffs and says, “I’ll go back to my desk and do it.”

My reply, “Just answer these things, and I will get it done.”

Her reply walking away, “Your questions aren’t that easy.”

What the hell? Am I missing something? Am I being a whiny/needy asshole asking for information? Should this be information I can pull from the air? Why is she huffy every time I ask for clarification on her VERY unclear requests. I simply don’t know how to communicate with her.

Oh, and I still don’t have any answers, so I can’t move forward on the items on the list.

Help?

Edited to add NONE OF THESE TASKS ARE IN MY JOB DESCRIPTION.
