So, I've got a go-getter of a student who wants to drop a massive amount of money by going to school in the States. To prep, he needs to write a college entrance exam. He wants to know whether he should write the ACT or the SATs. My initial (mostly joking) answer, that he should stay in Canada for school, doesn't seem to be very helpful, so what's the difference? I've done the reading about content but am more wondering about the universal applicability of one vs the other, or whether the ACT has gotten to the point where it's as acknowledged as the SATs? Most of the info I can find seems to be from the boards that pay for the test administration or companies providing expensive prep classes, so, you know, grain of salt...
