First Question! Many many moons ago I checked out a book from the library. It was about a family who moves into an old family home, and the brother and sister are unusually close and the sister goes missing, and the house is sort of alive? I only made it partially through, and it was a long time ago. It was definitely a woman author, and I thought the title was something like House of White Chalk- but my googling is not turning anything up. Help a G'Ter out yo.

Second Question! I'm still relatively new at knitting (less than a year). Somethings I have gotten very good at- cables, lace, stranding, increases and decreases, and others, not so much. I am rubbish at small diameter knitting in the round-which means that mitts, mittens and socks are currently out of my reach (and have you seen some of the mitten patterns on Ravelry? I need these in my life) I have attempted both magic loop and DPNs, but get crazy laddering and generally not great results. I keep hearing two circulars might be easier; what say you?

Third Question! I need some good romantical ideas that are cheap for v-day. Some of you may know that I have recently become un-employed; but I would still like to do something nice for him- especially since he is shouldering so much of the financial burden until I find new employment. I'm going to do the special dinner/ bake up home made treats, I am just stymied past that.
