Some of y’all have probably seen this, but Brock Turner (Stanford) was convicted of raping an unconscious woman. His dad decided to make a statement, said that it is a “steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action.”

As if he’d stolen a DVD from a Best Buy.

Is it a steep price to pay for someone’s lifetime of PTSD? Is it is a steep price to pay for a lifetime of therapy? For a lifetime of relationship struggles.

This comment is about what Turner “got” out of this attack. What he gained from it. He didn’t personally gain enough from it to be punished that harshly.
