Trigger warning: child abuse and victim blaming.
The proposed Cinderella Law would legally formalise an already working definition of emotional abuse used by social workers. This covers: "forcing a child to witness domestic abuse, scapegoating them, humiliation and degrading punishments."
But apparently The Telegraph, purveyors of this cartoon, seem to think that protection from outright abuse amounts to pampering. I know it's a joke. But it's a horrible, damaging and, besides which, unfunny joke. Who on Earth - aside from "Matt" - thought this was fit for publication?
